Honoring All Veterans!

This is a site to honor all Veterans and to inform them of what is going on in the Veteran World. The V.A. does not want to help us Veterans. If you are in the system you might know this by now. I am going to list some places on the internet that can help you find answeres to the things that you need to know. I have many other Veteran friends that help keep me informed of the latest changes that are going on. I hope that you will contribute to our web sites any information that you feel is important. And remember that NO question is a stupid question. We are all on this earth to learn from one another and a Veteran can usually answer a question for you simply because he or she has wandered the same thing before or has been through the same thing before.

Special Thanks

First of all I want to thank each veteran that has contributed to this country of ours.

Next, I want to thank all of my fellow veterans of the hadit site for giving me the courage to live from day to day and to cope with the s--t that the V.A. has put me through. I could not go on each day without knowing that they care so much about me and other Veterans.

About Myself

I will now tell you about myself. I am a 30% service connected Veteran. I was in during the years of 1988-1992 and served as an A-4 Aircraft Sheetmetal Mechanic. I did not go to the Gulf War. I was stationed in Key West Florida. My squadron was VF-45 and we acted as an East Coast top gun outfit. Our pilots trained other pilots how to fight in a war. Since we were a training outfit we worked day and night to keep our planes flying at all times. So when the Gulf War broke out we worked extra hard. We had to in order for our pilots to have a plane to fly in order to teach the other pilots what they needed to know. I am now fighting the V.A. system to get the disability that I deserve. I have many disabilities. As a Sheetmetal Mechanic I worked around a lot of chemicals each and every day. These chemicals have caused a great number of illnesses. Some of them are sinisitis and rhinitis which coincide with MCS multiple chemical sensitivity. The main chemical is Zinc Chromate. This is a greenish color primer that was used on various parts of aircraft. I painted, sanded, and grinded this stuff. It is now in my lungs and has also given me asthma. I am looking for any information on this stuff. If you have any information on it at all please e-mail me with it. I have other disabilities but this is the one that I need most of the information on.

I'd like to share some poems that I wrote with you:

Asking For Help

I sit here looking
Looking out the window
The window of my life.
Sometimes were good times
A lot of times were not.
It makes me want to lie down
Lie down on a cot.
Man I could tell you a lot.
Some things would make you skin crawl
Some things would make you bawl
I wish I could go back in time
I would change some things that are locked in my mind
It would really be great to have the key
The key that unlocks my mind...
I would really like to see
Someone who cares holding me
I think of starting over
Starting over is hard to do
So now I am asking for help
Asking for help only from you.

A Veteran

A veteran is a hero of this country.
Many don't understand the life of a veteran.
A veteran has put his life on the line in many ways.
Some through war and some preparing things for war.
Some have become disabled from their duties.
And these are disabled veterans.
A veteran is a forgotten person.
A forgotten person but not gone.
Veterans are the backbone of this country.
Because they are what helped make this country what it is today.
